Devices and captures

This section is especially relevant when there are adherence concerns, capture errors, or a need to verify whether the workflow available to the patient is correct.

What nursing should check

When the reading is recorded by photographing the device:

  • the device must be fully visible in the image
  • the recommended distance is 15 to 20 cm
  • the camera must be parallel to the device
  • there should be no reflections, shadows, or blur
  • the numbers must be sharp and legible before submitting

If the capture is taken by the patient themselves, use this list as a support guide. If nursing takes it during a consultation or during support, also check that no unnecessary personal data appears around the device.

What to do if the reading fails

  1. First check whether the issue is framing or image quality.
  2. Confirm whether the patient followed the capture workflow correctly.
  3. If needed, retake the photo or request a new reading.
  4. If the problem persists, document the incident and escalate to the appropriate profile.
